Serenity at Sea

This is a running blog about Serenity, a 45' Shannon sail boat currently sailing around the Atlantic, and her crew.

Slow wind and Engine troubles

It’s been slow going due to tepid winds. Serenity has been motoring to make up time and has encountered some engine problems. She will need a few engine parts when they get to St. Thomas.

Arrival in Portsmouth VA

Serenity and crew arrived in Portsmouth a few days ago. High gusty winds broke two batons on the way which are being replaced while in port.   The crew is spending this week going over the boat, attending lectures, and plan to set sail for the Caribbean on Sunday November 2nd.

Heading South

Serenity has left Block Island and is heading south to Virginia where they will spend a week checking the boat out and attending seminars.
